How I lost 63 Lbs In 18 Weeks

Ever found yourself hesitating to embrace life’s moments fully—perhaps at the beach, shying away from your favorite swimsuit, or strategically avoiding the camera’s lens? Maybe you’ve skipped social events, fearing judgment or discomfort, or found yourself reluctant to engage in physical activities. Whether it’s avoiding the mirror, steering clear of public transportation, or feeling self-conscious about relationships, the weight you carry, both physically and emotionally, can limit your confidence and enjoyment.

Arnold’s Health Story

As we all know, the year 2020 was a crazy one for everyone. Between dealing with life plans being changed due to COVID 19, being extremely devastated by what happened to George Floyd, dealing with my own past experiences, amongst other things, life was literally weighing on me.

However, despite it all, I made a resolute decision that “I will love myself, love my body, and be true to my desires.” This pivotal choice became the catalyst for change on Sunday, May 10, 2020. 

Embarking on a transformative journey, I embraced a series of health principles that led to my weight loss and a significant lifestyle change. Remarkably, within just 9 weeks, from May 11, 2020, to July 12, 2020 (63 days), I shed 43 pounds, going from from 217 lbs to 174 lbs. 

Determined to maintain this positive trajectory, I continued my commitment with a focus on these same health principles from August 17th to November 15th, 2020 and over an additional 9 weeks, I continued to shape my physique, losing an extra 20 lbs and reaching a weight range of 154 lbs to 158 lbs. Having attained my weight loss goals, I discovered a newfound passion for health and wellness.

Since November 30th, 2020, my goal has been to live a fit and healthy life. As a testament to my journey of self-love, resilience, and a commitment to my well-being, here is a picture of my transformation in 1 year.

Having undergone such a profound change, I discovered a deep passion for health and wellness, and I now dedicate myself to teaching the same principles that transformed my life, especially within the Black community. As a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, bodybuilding specialist, and youth fitness instructor, I am committed to helping Black individuals and families improve their health through holistic wellness. The rise of COVID-19 has underscored the urgent need for strong immune systems and overall health. With obesity disproportionately affecting our community—a topic that often goes unspoken—I’ve made it my mission to empower us to thrive physically, mentally, and spiritually.

In my mission to promote better health within the Black community, I’ve developed a weight loss program specifically designed to support transformative change. This program is crafted to help individuals lose between 10-20 lbs in just two months, emphasizing sustainable health practices that enhance overall well-being and empower personal growth.

More About Arnold

Raised in Louisiana, Arnold Brown graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree majoring in Spanish and minoring in Mandarin Chinese. Upon graduation, Arnold accepted the opportunity to live for two years in China, where he taught English as a Second Language at the University of Ningxia. Being the only African American male in the city where he lived, Arnold describes his experience as absolutely life-changing. Arnold speaks 4 languages fluently, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese.
